UAS operator training built for real procedures
UAS Procedural Trainer is a training system for MALE and fixed-wing unmanned aircraft operators. It supports repeatable training of flight, observation, mission execution and emergency procedures in a controlled virtual environment.
Built on VBS4, the system combines realistic scenarios, instructor control and after-action review in one operational training platform.
training scope
- Manual, assisted and autopilot flight modes
- Waypoint navigation and emergency landing procedures
- VFR and IFR operations in day and night conditions
- Turbulence, icing and changing weather conditions
- Configurable flight profiles for progressive operator training
observation and mission systems
The simulator reproduces observation-head operation and mission workflows:
- 360-degree pan and tilt control
- EO and IR/FLIR observation modes
- MGRS geolocation and automatic target tracking
- Video recording for review and debriefing
- Environmental degradation including smoke, fog and dust
precision engagement training
The system supports training of the full engagement sequence, from target identification to battle damage assessment.
- Configurable precision-guided munition profiles
- Semi-active laser guidance procedures
- Target identification, designation and launch workflow
- CEP indicator and target database
- Repeatable mission scenarios for crew coordination
instructor control and after-action review
Instructors can manage scenarios in real time without programming. Faults can be introduced on demand to test decision-making under operational pressure.
- Engine, GPS, communication and sensor failures
- Dynamic weather and time-of-day control
- 3D mission replay
- Crew decision analysis
- PDF report export
interoperability and support
UAS Procedural Trainer supports HLA and DIS interoperability with air and land simulation systems. The platform can be configured as a three-station training solution and delivered
